Limitations and alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of Avery, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
Known limitations for Avery:
- Avery Design & Print Online: Our online label and sticker design editor (for printing at home and custom printing) can’t be operated by a keyboard or assistive technologies. While we are actively working to improve accessibility, we recognise that some legacy features may not meet all accessibility standards. We are working on offering an alternative access to our custom printing service with our Quick Artwork Upload (QAU) tool. With this tool it is possible to upload complete designs and have them professionally printed.
- Assistive Technologies: Due to the large amount of legacy content across our websites, we recognise that some content may not fully meet all accessibility standards for assistive technologies. We are actively working to improve accessibility of all of our web content. Please inform us if you encounter an issue.
- PDF files: PDF files of older date are not accessible.Newly published PDF files are generally made available in an accessible version or replaced by such a version in a timely manner. If you require a specific PDF file from us that is not yet available in an accessible format, please contact us.
- Third-party Tools: Some functions powered by third-party tools (chat, customer reviews, newsletter signup) may have limited accessibility, which we're working to improve.
Assessment approach
The accessibility of Avery was assessed by axe DevTools Pro (axe-core 4.10.3) and manual testing.
