The BIG Idea Competition

The Big Idea, herein referred to as the ‘campaign’, is a competition open to anyone residing in one of the countries outlined (full list of countries broken down below). Entrants must be 18 years or older, have a verified bank account in which the funds can be transferred. The campaign will be open from 1st April 2025 and will close 31st May 2025. After closing, all entries will be screened by a neutral judging panel. Judging criteria will be made solely on the strength of the collected answers, with shortlisted entries being judged to have the best idea, with the most thought out next steps. Winners will be notified by the XX June and announced publicly 2 weeks later on the XXth June.

No purchase is necessary to gain entry into the campaign.

All questions must be answered for entry to be valid.

The word count guide is to give an indication of the detail you may wish to provide to give the judging panel enough information. Wordcount will not be taken into consideration as part of the judging criteria.

Upon receiving notice of being one of the 9 winners, a representative from Avery will reach out via the email provided on the entry form to notify the winner and ask for details of a valid banking account nominated for the payment to be made to. The winning prize, £1,000 will be paid in instalments.

1. Paid within 2 weeks of receiving notice of winning.
2. Paid within the 1st week of September 2025.

It is the responsibility of the winner to be aware of any and all tax implications associated with receiving the funds into their nominated banking account and any other such liabilities as may be encountered in their country of residence. Avery accepts no responsibility for any additional tax liabilities beyond the payment of the £1,000 or 1,000 EUR.

Furthermore, by accepting the prize, the winner accepts that details of their application, their business, idea and country of residence may be shared, within reason, and verification will always be sought by Avery.

Relating to the payment of part 2 (II), Avery reserves the right to withhold payment indefinitely should the winner not engage with the competition or brand as set out in the competition and entry requirements.
