Create your own Avery Product Tags

Step by Step guide showing you how easy it is to create your own customised product tags. Just one of the great products from Avery's Solutions for Small Businesses range.

Step 1: Get the product

In this guide Avery C32300 will be used. It’s part of the Avery ‘Solutions for Small Businesses Range’ and can be used on Inkjet, Laser and colour Laser Printers.

Step 2: Use Avery Design and Print Online.

Using Avery Design and Print Online, type in the Product code you wish to use. In this example C32300 is being used. You can also browse by product category if you are not sure of the product code to use.

Step 3: Select your Predesign.

Avery Design and Print Online offers many predesigned templates for your cards.  In this example a Happy Mothers’ Day image is being used (which we will edit to suit our needs later), however you can always choose a blank design which allows you to fully customise your own card.  You can add your own images and text whether you use a predesign or a blank template.

Step 4: Design your Tags.

You can now use all the features of Avery Design and Print Online to design your Tags.  Using the tools on the left of the screen you can add text, shapes, images (either images from the Avery gallery or photographs/images from your PC).  You can also add shapes to brighten up your Tag or even add a QR code - QR codes allow smartphones to scan the code and take the user to a predefined web page.

Step 5: Design the Front and Back of the Tag.

Front of Tag – Creating your design is really up to you! You can either use the Pre-Design, or edit it to adjust what you would like your Tag to say. In this instance, we have edited the Tag to be a tag for a box of chocolates, using the tools on the Design and Print site, and using some of the images already provided in the pre-design. Our finished design looked like this;

Step 6: Design the Front and Back of the Tag.

Back of Tag – The back of the Tag we used was done as a new project with a fresh template. As above, the design on the back of the Tag is up to you – or it can be left blank if you prefer.
Our finished Tag looked like this;

Step 7: Print and apply your tags.

Finally you can print your design.  Ensure you follow the instructions in Avery Design and Print Online and those of your printer manufacturer.  Most printers will only accept card products through the manual feed.
That's it!
Now simply apply your wonderful product tag to your great products.
